Oh hey there. Who are you again?

It has been a decent amount of time since my last post, but this is Mocha speaking :D.  I have fabulous news! The main website template is done and ready for content! WOOHOO!!  Wonderful things have been happening the past couple of months. Wonderful ideas have been brought to the table which is really going to make CoLoCo so very unique from a lot of Visual Novels.  I can't wait to see where this goes!

As for future projects, I'm not quite sure what I'm going to be doing next exactly. I think my next main focus though will be collecting content for our website and setting it up to go online. After that, we shall see!

Anywho, this isn't a very long update or anything, but a hello was very much necessary.

Heeeeeey-yo

This is Tacochickenwings, the object of all your wildest fantasies, speaking to you this evening.

Vivian's mini VN is almost finished.  All of us are making some pretty damn good progress, and a big kudos to everyone involved in the project.  All our artists and musicians are doing EXCELLENT work as well, and we will be paying everyone in sexual favors and finger food.

No, seriously though.  Great group of people to work with, very smashing ladies and gents.  We have recently revamped some very important business in our VN, and it's going to play out a little like -

Can't tell you that for free.  Yet.

I intend to elaborate later.  Just know that it's going to be good, and it's going to be very different from the standard fare.  Trust me babes.

As for my end of things, let me be the first to admit that I have minimal experience with VNs.  I have played only a tiny bit of Katawa Shoujo, and that's it, because I think I put it down to do something stupid and potentially dangerous.  I also have absolutely no love for anime either, which is what a lot of VNs connect with.  I'm writing Vivian's VN purely on my love of psychology.  I'm a psychological horror/surrealist writer by trade, trying to write a romance - so I think I've concocted something, uh...interesting.  

But see, that's what's nice about the fact that all of our writers are different people with different styles - we are creating something that blends, but also has a little something different to bring to the table with each story and writer.  And we have a really lovely team of editors that is hard at work making everything sound all pretty and fit together nicely, and they're just going to make everything flow, so our stories don't read like rabbits trying to hump donkeys.

Well folks, it's almost midnight, and I wrote all of that sober.  Not that I even drink because I'm bad enough without it.  Surprising as that may be.  Just know that I love each and every one of you the way you are, and another team member will probably come along and write something more coherent.

Here is (FINALLY) my own little avatar.  Yes, my hair is actually purple from my magical hair stylist powers, though my land lady is not happy about the hair color stains on the shower walls, I'm sure.

Every day brings us closer to our ETA for the release of Layla's Mini-VN, No Rain.

Now, i'm sure that all of you wonderful people have questions -

What will the mini include?
Is this simply a beta-release?
Aren't you worried about spoiling things in the full VN?
Why is her story titled No Rain?

My intention with this post is to answer these questions, so let's get started :D

1. What will the mini include?

• Full In-game Soundtrack
• Multiple CGs, Sprites, Backgrounds, and special effects.
• A comprehensive and engrossing introduction to one of our heroines, Layla.
• Extras, Previews, and Notes.

What the mini will NOT include -

• FMV

Yus :I CoLoCo will implement FMV, but these minis shall not.... until a later update perhaps ;)

2. Is this simply a beta-release?

NO. No Rain is not simply a product created to say we've got the skills to back up our talk - though it does help serve that purpose coincidentally.

All of the Mini-VNs are being created to better introduce and engross the reader - YOU - into the universe of Coda: Of Love and Composition. Through moving passages and stirring imagery, we promise to make our Mini-VNs something you will never forget, and will long to play again.

3. Aren't you worried about spoiling things for the full VN?

- No worries here. We're going through great lengths right now to ensure that the Mini-VNs do not spoil the characters for CoLoCo, but rather leave the reader even more curious and wanting more :3

To Summarize: The Minis will not spoil you for the full game, but only whet your appetite ;)

4. Why is Layla's Mini titled, No Rain?

But seriously, that's a hard one to answer without spoiling things. What I can tell you:

• Rain holds a special significance to Layla
• Rain washes away, renews, and in many senses cleanses.
• Rain is both sad and beautiful to many people.

Ultimately, I plan to post a spoiler-free introduction to Layla's mini as the release date gets closer, but know that the name holds a special significance.
