Alright, so it's been a little bit since we had an update, so I figure I'll take the time to ramble on about how I write and where I get ideas from! Woohoo! Excitement is in the air.
Now, I'll start by saying that I myself am a music guy. I soundtrack every second of my life, I cannot live without listening to a song. This has been a great help for me I think, because when I listen to music, I'm always imagining scenes in my head to go with it. So it hasn't been hard to go from imagining random stuff, to imagining things that could be related to Elise's story. At first, her character was rather... bland, and unoriginal in my opinion. However, she's now the product of tons of different songs that I have been listening to during the writing period up until now, and I'm happy to say that her character has come a long, long way from that original idea to something completely different and much more original. :)
Elise will be a gentle girl, the caring type, looking out for everyone other than herself. A very loveable character, gentle and sweet. She is born into the Wagner clan, the town's wealthiest and most influential family (think Sonozaki family from Higurashi, but with far less killing involved :P), owning most of the businesses there and even stretching it's influence all the way over to Japan. Upon meeting her, Seth will be taken by surprise by her quirky, yet elegant nature. Of course, not all will be as it seems, and Elise's traumatic past will come to light. Elise has always been helping others, through volunteer work, and also by just going out of her way to find people who are troubled. She has even earned the reputation of the Angel of Woodland among the townspeople. However, this time, it will be her who will need to be saved, by Seth and... maybe... something else?
Elise's story will be bitter-sweet. That's what I'm going for, and I hope that when CoLoCo is finally finished, you guys will enjoy it. :)
